§ 01 / What's included

Custom-built. Always.

A Mommy Makeover is not a fixed menu — it is the combination of procedures your body needs, performed together so you recover once. Most plans include 2-3 of the following:

Drainless Abdominoplasty

Tummy tuck without surgical drains. Removes excess abdominal skin, repairs separated muscles (diastasis recti), and revises the c-section scar where present. Faster, more comfortable recovery.

Enhanced Recovery Breast Augmentation

Submuscular, subfascial, or dual-plane technique tailored to your anatomy. Combined with breast lift when post-pregnancy volume loss is significant.

Liposuction

Targeted fat removal from flanks, waist, hips, or back. Often combined with fat transfer to restore volume where it has been lost.

C-Section Scar Revision

Included as part of the abdominoplasty when relevant. Old c-section scar is repositioned and refined, often becoming nearly invisible inside the new abdominoplasty incision.

§ 02 / Patient voice

“He spent more time with me in one consultation than every other surgeon combined. I finally felt heard — and the result feels like the version of me I'd been trying to describe for years.”

§ 04 / Frequently asked

Honest answers, even to the hard questions.

What does a Mommy Makeover cost in Minneapolis?

Mommy Makeover pricing in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area typically ranges from $18,000 to $35,000 all-inclusive, depending on which procedures are combined and the surgical facility. MN Plastic Surgery quotes are transparent — surgeon, facility, and anesthesia fees in one number. CareCredit financing is available. Specific pricing is discussed during your consultation once your anatomy and goals are assessed.

How long is the recovery?

Most patients take 2 weeks off desk work, 6 weeks before resuming exercise. The first week is the toughest. Drainless abdominoplasty technique (used when appropriate) eliminates the need for surgical drains, which makes the recovery more comfortable. Direct messaging access to Dr. Chaudhry is included throughout — questions answered by the surgeon, not staff.

Is a Mommy Makeover safe to do as one surgery?

Yes, when properly planned. Combining procedures in a single operative session has been studied extensively and is considered safe for healthy candidates. The advantage is one recovery rather than multiple. Dr. Chaudhry's training at Mayo Clinic and his aesthetic fellowship with Dr. Dennis Hammond included combination-procedure planning. Candidacy is assessed individually during consultation.

When can I have a Mommy Makeover after giving birth?

Most surgeons recommend waiting at least 6 to 12 months after delivery, longer if breastfeeding. Your weight should be stable, you should be done having children (or comfortable with the possibility that future pregnancies may affect results), and your body should be fully recovered from pregnancy. Dr. Chaudhry discusses timing individually based on your situation.

Will my c-section scar be addressed?

Yes. C-section scar revision is included when relevant. The old c-section scar is repositioned and refined, often becoming nearly invisible within the new lower abdominoplasty incision. This is one of the most common patient-requested benefits of pairing a tummy tuck with abdominoplasty.

Can I have a Mommy Makeover after Ozempic or significant weight loss?

Yes. Significant post-pregnancy or post-GLP-1 weight loss often makes a Mommy Makeover even more impactful, because skin laxity is more pronounced. Dr. Chaudhry specializes in body contouring after substantial weight loss, including extended abdominoplasty techniques when circumferential trunk skin removal is needed. Discuss timing and approach during your consultation.

Will I be able to have children after?

Yes, you can still have children after a Mommy Makeover. However, future pregnancy may stretch the abdominal skin and muscles again, which could compromise the results. Most patients choose to wait until they are done having children before scheduling a Mommy Makeover for this reason.
